Jolade Olusanya

Joladé Olusanya is a poet/writer, filmmaker, and photographer moving between these forms as a storyteller at heart. This project will live through some of these and then finally as his debut book that will be released later this year.

"There's a quote by Kahlil Gibran: 'We live only to discover beauty. All else is a form of waiting'. I was struck by how simple he made the concept of 'waiting' sound. Most people tend to think of it or patience as a stationary thing. But his quote made me realise that's only half of it. Waiting is, in fact, everything we do on daily basis up until the point of discovering that 'beauty'. That beauty could be the dream job, house, car, partner, achievement, meal, anything. But until we get it, we're just waiting."
